Savannah Sipping Society

The comedy play The Savannah Sipping Society was written by three playwrights:

  • Jessie Jones

  • Nicholas Hope

  • Jamie Wooten

They often work together under the collective name “Jones Hope Wooten.” Their comedies are very popular with community theatres and frequently feature strong ensemble roles, especially for women.

Synopsis

In this laugh-out-loud Southern comedy, four unique women find themselves unexpectedly drawn together after personal setbacks leave them wondering what comes next. When a spirited newcomer to Savannah suggests an impromptu happy hour on her veranda, the unlikely group begins meeting regularly to share cocktails, laughter, and their life stories. As their friendship grows, they discover that with a little courage, a lot of humor, and the support of good friends, it’s never too late to start living life to the fullest.

Their weekly gatherings soon turn into a journey of reinvention, proving that sometimes the best way to move forward is with good company and a well-poured drink.
